About Karishma
Hello! I'm Karishma, and I'm excited to help you fall in love with English. I'm a graduate student in English, Theater, and Psychology from Christ University, with years of hands-on experience in storytelling, content writing, and creative education. I've led theater-based workshops for children, directed stage productions, and written professionally, so I know how to bring words to life and make learning meaningful and fun. My goal as a tutor is to help you understand English literature and writing, and enjoy them. Whether we're exploring a classic poem, improving your essay skills, or crafting a powerful story, I'll guide you with patience, creativity, and clarity. As someone who's worked in classrooms, theater sets, and writing desks, I bring a unique blend of structure and imagination to every session. I value open communication and creating a space where students feel heard, supported, and challenged to grow. As a tutor, I focus on making English literature and writing engaging, imaginative, and student-driven. My academic background in English, Theatre, and Psychology, along with experience leading creative workshops for children aged 5–16, allows me to design classes that blend analysis, empathy, and expression.
I use interactive techniques such as discussion-based learning, creative writing prompts, and theatre tools like roleplay and storytelling to make literature feel alive and relatable. I also emphasize structure and clarity in writing, helping students improve both their academic and creative expression.
A typical class includes a warm-up activity, a focused lesson exploring texts or writing techniques, followed by a creative or analytical task, and ends with reflective feedback. I prioritize creating a safe space where students feel confident to explore ideas and grow at their own pace.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect literary themes with real-life emotions and situations, making lessons both intellectually and personally enriching. My classes are ideal for school students (grades 6–12) looking to deepen their understanding of literature, improve writing, or build confidence in communication.
My goal is to help students not just study English—but truly enjoy it.
