About Alyssa
I am a licensed, veteran English and theater teacher of 15 years on the North Shore of Massachusetts. I have taught all levels of English - from small group pull out classes to Advanced Placement and am Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsed. I have prepped students for success in all levels of test prep (MCAS to SAT) and college essay writing. In addition, I have run the theater program in my district for over a decade and can help with script analysis and audition material choice.

Working with students in small groups or individually is my favorite part of education. I have years of experience and differentiated materials to help you understand the "classic" literature required in a high school classroom (especially Shakespeare!), build and expand on your skills in all forms of writing from expository to narrative, and help you prep for standardized tests. I have worked with students for years to develop, revise, and strengthen college essays and resumes to show their personal best work to potential colleges and employers.
On the theater end, I love helping students chose audition monologues and break down scenes for auditions, coursework, and analysis.
