About Jack

I am a motivated and approachable English tutor with a strong background in communication and problem-solving. Currently studying Commerce at University College Cork, I have developed the ability to explain ideas clearly and adapt to different learning styles. I focus on creating a supportive environment where students feel confident to learn, practice, and improve.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is focused on building confidence, practical communication skills, and steady progress. I tailor each lesson to the student’s level, goals, and learning style, ensuring that every session is relevant and engaging. I believe the best way to learn English is through active use, so my lessons are interactive, supportive, and centred around real-life communication.

Techniques & Methodology

I use a combination of conversational practice, targeted grammar improvement, and vocabulary building. Lessons often include:

Real-life speaking scenarios to improve fluency and confidence
Clear explanations of grammar in a simple, practical way
Personalised feedback to help you improve quickly
Structured exercises combined with natural conversation

My goal is to help students not just understand English, but actually use it comfortably in everyday situations.

Lesson Length

Typical lessons last 60 minutes, which allows enough time to practice speaking, review key areas, and introduce new material without feeling rushed. Shorter or longer sessions can be arranged depending on your needs.

Qualifications & Experience

I have a strong background in communication, problem-solving, and working with people in fast-paced environments. Through my academic studies and professional experience, I’ve developed the ability to explain concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and support consistent progress in others.

Who My Lessons Are For

My lessons are suitable for:

Beginners to advanced learners
Students looking to improve for school or exams
International learners wanting to improve everyday English
Professionals aiming to improve communication and confidence

I work with a wide range of ages and levels, and each lesson is adapted to suit your specific goals.
