About the lesson

I offer English lessons tailored for students in grades JK-Grade 2. Building strong foundations in phonics, early reading, writing, and oral language skills—all infused with social–emotional learning and creativity.

Phonics mastery: We use systematic, structured phonics to build letter–sound knowledge, word family awareness (e.g. -at, -op), and sight words—to support reading and writing fluency.

Literacy essentials: Students learn to trace and write letters, practice short sentences, and express themselves using drawing and emergent writing activities.

Oral language & vocabulary: Through storytelling, songs, and discussion, children learn to use academic and emotional vocabulary—great for building confidence and comprehension.

Reading & Comprehension: We move from decoding to fluency and comprehension with supportive phrases and scaffolded discussions—using strategies comparable to reciprocal teaching adapted for young learners.

Literacy Development: Your child will practice tracing letters, writing simple sentences, and expressing thoughts through drawing or emergent writing, building foundational literacy confidence.
