About Daniela

I am a native Spanish speaker. I speak Spanish with my family daily, some of who do not speak English.

I have worked in student support networks as a mentor and peer advisor for over three years. My current part time work-study position is in student support.

I received the seal of biliteracy when I graduated high school, I got a 5 on the AP Spanish Language exam, and I am currently developing a curriculum for Spanish heritage speakers here in my college for one of my courses.

About the lesson

I will work with the student to see what level they are at.

Using prior experience with AP and Honors Spanish courses, as well as College level Spanish, I will create lesson plans and mini assignments to help them succeed.

I will also focus on conversational Spanish, since I find it is beneficial to be able to speak the language. I will from basic phrases and going forward. As a Latin American Spanish speaker, I will mainly focus on my area of expertise, but will bring up differences in dialect when needed.
