About Kara

As a Mathematics teacher currently undertaking my PGCE at King’s College London, I bring expert, up-to-date knowledge of the school curriculum and exam board requirements directly to my tutoring. My teaching background is backed by a previous professional career as a Treasury and financial services analyst, allowing me to show students the real-world value of maths.

I maintain a highly professional, reliable, and organised approach. I specialise in helping students who lack confidence, using a calm and patient style to reduce maths anxiety and help them achieve top grades

About the lesson

As a KCL PGCE trainee, I provide calm, supportive 60-minute Mathematics lessons tailored for KS3 and GCSE students (ages 11–16). My methodology breaks complex topics into clear steps, combining exam-room techniques with real-world financial literacy to build genuine confidence and boost grades.
