About Elan

Hi! I'm Elan, an English tutor from Toronto, Canada. I've been tutoring students for over seven years and truly love helping others grow in their language skills. Whether you're just starting out or want to polish your English for school, work, or everyday conversations, I'm here to support you in a way that feels relaxed and personal. I believe learning should be fun and practical! Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, exploring the city, playing music, and meeting people from different cultures—which is one of the reasons I love tutoring so much!

I mix in grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation through real-life examples—like news, music, or casual chats—depending on your goals. Whether you're learning for travel, work, or study, I make sure it feels natural and useful.

Typical Lesson Plan
Each session usually starts with a short warm-up chat, followed by a focused topic (like speaking fluently about a daily routine, learning new expressions, or working on writing). We end with feedback and a small takeaway task so you can keep learning between sessions.

I’m patient, supportive, and I truly care about helping you grow. I adapt to your pace and style, and I always make sure the lessons feel relaxed and positive. I also bring two years of experience and a deep love of teaching, especially helping students build real confidence.
