About Katrin
Hi, I'm Katrin!
I'm a British-born English teacher who focuses on clear pronunciation and communication, so you'll be understood no matter where you are in the world.
Currently completing my TEFL certification, I have a strong understanding of language learning and grammar, allowing me to support you effectively throughout your journey.
Coming from a mixed heritage—Iraqi and Russian—adaptability is one of my greatest strengths. I'm quick on my feet and can tailor lessons to suit your individual needs. Having translated for others from a young age, I've seen first-hand the challenges of learning English and can empathise with you on a personal level. With an Iraqi arabic level of B2 and French of B1, I hope to be able to help as many students as possible.

In my lessons, we focus on speaking, even if things aren't perfect—that comes later. Once you're comfortable and relaxed, that's where the real progress begins. Through fun and engaging activities, I aim to cultivate a productive learning environment that puts you at the centre of the learning experience.
Although I am young, I've had plenty of opportunities to understand students' needs through volunteering my time to teach learners of all levels.
Currently, my students say that I "create a comfortable environment" and that they "thoroughly enjoy the classes"!
I hope to expand my student base and meet new people along the way, learning as much from you as you do from me.
My lessons start off fairly structured, with opportunities to delve deeper into any topic or veer off course if you wish. I also take pride in adding little touches to the presentation of my lessons to make them visually stimulating :)
