About Vanda

Hello! My name is Vanda, and I am passionate about helping students succeed in English. With a strong academic background and over 20 years of teaching experience, I specialise in supporting EAL learners and KS2 students in their language journey. I first studied Literature in Greece, then pursued a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics at the University of Essex in England, followed by a Master’s in Education in Athens. Throughout my career, I have continuously developed my skills by attending courses in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and multicultural education. I have been teaching English as a second language for many years, both in Greece and the UK, in primary and secondary schools. Additionally, I have been teaching Greek to students of all ages for over two decades. My deep understanding of language learning, combined with my experience working with diverse learners, allows me to tailor my teaching methods to each student's unique needs. I believe that learning a language should be engaging, supportive, and adapted to every student's pace. My goal is to help learners gain confidence, improve their skills, and feel comfortable using English in their everyday lives. Whether you are a young learner, a secondary school student, or an adult eager to improve your English, I am here to guide you on your journey. I look forward to helping you achieve your goals! Feel free to contact me for more information!

About the lesson

Personalised English & EAL Tutoring – Tailored to your needs Are you looking for engaging, effective English lessons designed just for you or your child? I specialise in teaching English to KS2 students and English as a Foreign Language (EAL) to learners of all ages, from primary and secondary school students to adults. With a strong background in language teaching, I understand that every student learns differently. That’s why I personalise each lesson to suit individual needs, learning styles, and goals. Whether your child needs support with reading, writing, grammar, or confidence in speaking, I create interactive, structured lessons that make learning enjoyable and effective. For EAL students, I focus on building strong communication skills while helping them integrate into the English-speaking environment with ease. My approach includes real-life language practice, cultural understanding, and step-by-step guidance to boost fluency and confidence. I believe that learning a language should be inspiring, not stressful. My lessons are student-centred, supportive, and tailored to encourage progress at a comfortable pace.
