About Aixin

I am a university student who wants to share my love of the English language with others. I'm inspired by language and linguistics as it is the way we communicate in a complex world. I wish to help my students expand their English knowledge from essay practice to learning phonetics for the first time. I'm currently a 3rd year student at Monash University, studying Bachelor of Science, with a minor in Linguistics. I am currently studying to be a physiotherapist, but before that, my passion was speech therapy. When I was in high school, English was not my favorite subject. I found it hard to follow along, and I did not have the biggest passion for reading. However, that all changed when I started seeing an English tutor. They help me learn and grow in my skills by being patient and understanding. After her help, something clicked for me! I became someone who could not wait for English class. I even did English Language for VCE. I want to inspire other students the way she inspired me. I want to create a calm environment for students, where they can grow and nurture their English skills.

About the lesson

- A 1-hour lesson - Helping students get the most out of their English classes - Studying and perfecting English Language and Linguistics skills - Preparing for essays, oral presentations, the GAT, NAPLAN and any other tricky assessments - Teaching the basics (phonetics and reading) as well as the complex skills - For all school students, prep - Year 12 - I completed VCE English Language in 2020, as well as currently studying a minor in Linguistics at Monash University My goal is to make students love English as much as I do. I will be working with their school curriculum, as well as the student to highlight any areas they want to work on. I want to create a calm and patient environment where they are not scared to ask for help.
