About John
My goal is to, of course, teach the material but also provide an open environment where students can learn to appreciate math rather than dread it. I care very deeply about any student under my purview and believe that instruction, tutoring, etc. is one of the most important jobs; one that I have the honor of doing. I am willing to work as hard as necessary to help any and all people. I have spent the last ten years of my life studying and teaching math, and I love talking about the subject!

My method is one of open dialogue. Students need to be able to express their concerns and frustrations with their material so that I have the capacity to address those and navigate the material in the way best suited to each individual. A typical lesson involves a student addressing a problem they are having and us starting by determining the student's aptitude level with regard to the problem level. From there, we look at specific examples they have encountered or go over some basics before diving into new examples. I am equipped to tutor students from all backgrounds, experience levels, and ages!
