About the lesson

With over 15 years of experience tutoring students in grades 5–12, I take a personalized and student-centered approach to teaching mathematics. I begin by identifying each student's learning style, strengths, and areas for growth. From there, I tailor my instruction to meet their individual needs, using a variety of techniques to build confidence and mastery.

I focus on clarity, patience, and active engagement. I break down complex concepts into manageable parts and use real-world examples to make abstract ideas more relatable. I encourage students to verbalize their thinking, ask questions freely, and take ownership of their learning. Visual aids, interactive problem-solving, and continuous feedback are key parts of my method.

Each session begins with a brief review of prior material to reinforce retention and build connections. Next, we focus on the current topic, often aligned with the student’s school curriculum. I guide students through examples, provide practice problems, and pause frequently to check understanding. Homework support or test prep is incorporated as needed.
