Student: Rebekah King
Level and Subject: AQA A-level Physics and Maths
Rebekah was a motivated and extremely hardworking student. She sought my aid due to incompatible learning style with her school teacher and lack of understanding of topics. Rebekah was quick to learn the materials with my guidance starting from the basic concept up until everyday application and exam practice exams. She has described me as well-mannered and not afraid to go the extra miles as we always ended up with packs of notes after every session.
Outcome: A on both.

Peer: Ruby Chong
Level and Subject: Undergraduate Physics Modules and Coursework
Ruby was different from Rebekah as she needs more reinforcements in the concepts taught. However, with the right amount of patience and guidance, she was able to finish the coursework and improve her grade from 50-60+% to 70-80+%. It was a learning experience for me as well as I get to know more about students from different cultural background and their learning style.
Outcome: Upper second class graduate.

About the lesson

INTRODUCTION - MSci in Theoretical Physics first-class holder with experience and skills to pass on. My first lesson will be at 25% off. I provide tutoring in Physics (GCSE, A-levels, SAT, IB) and Maths (KS5, GCSE, A-levels, SAT, IB) based on what the students want to achieve ranging from an A to beyond (becoming an excellent candidate for work/university). The first lesson is cheaper because we will spend it getting to know the student's strengths, weaknesses, learning style and developing a study plan. I am happy to tailor a brief study plan over private message too.

WHY AM I DOING THIS - I am a strong academic learner who wishes to pass on my knowledge and skills to upcoming students. I am well versed in the subjects listed and what makes me unique is that I have experience with postgraduate research, working in a team and I wish to prepare students for their university and possible career.

WHY CHOOSE ME OVER OTHERS:
1) Tailor made study plan and lessons.
2) Friendly relationship and get along well with young people (teenagers and young adults alike) which makes students comfortable with asking questions.
3) Extra notes written either by student or me.
4) Demonstration of application/problems using computer softwares.
5) Lesson recording available if requested.
6) Support outside of lessons if it can be done within 15 minutes.
7) Emphasis on practical usage of knowledge to prepare for future usage or simple motivation.

TEACHING APPROACH - My methodology can be broken down into these few steps, however, we can always tailor a method for your needs:
1) Go through the theories first with my own way of understanding it and develop an understanding from your perspective as well. (note making optional)
2) Do practice questions together and go back to step 1 if necessary. I will include uses of graphs/programming if I see fit.
3) Revise what was learnt.
4) Do past exam papers/practice tests on your own and we will go through them together.
5) Keep the student motivated by introducing practical uses in real life.
