About Megan
My name is Megan and I am a PhD student in organic chemistry in Liverpool. My true passions lie in my research and I believe chemistry is going to help make the world a better place. My love for this work came when I received GCSE chemistry tuition myself and I want more people to understand the subject so they can see how amazing it is to learn. Outside of my day-to-day work, I am passionate about educating people on the gender biases within the sciences and would love the chance to bring more women into chemistry through teaching them about it!

I feel that each student deserves a personalised approach to their tuition and that each lesson should begin with a catch-up and an opportunity to discuss points at which you’ve struggled in your learning. Beyond supplementing your in-class understanding, exam preparation is key and so your tuition would include plenty of this. Outside of these lessons, active recall exercises will be key to your exam preparation because you will be committing your information to long-term memory and able to draw on this instantaneously. My previous work has showcased that I am patient with my students and I want to see them all succeed!
