About Armani

Hello! I am currently an English major at the United States Naval Academy, where I am pursuing my undergraduate degree with an expected graduation in 2027. My academic background has strengthened my passion for reading, writing, communication, and helping others succeed through education.

Before attending the Naval Academy, I gained approximately 1.5 years of paid tutoring experience at Jonathan Hager Elementary School in Hagerstown, Maryland. During this time, I worked individually with multiple kindergarten through second-grade students, helping them develop essential reading, writing, and language skills. This experience taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, and recognizing that every student learns differently.

As a midshipman at the Naval Academy, I have developed a strong sense of discipline, responsibility, leadership, and time management. I have also earned recognition on the Commandant’s List, reflecting my dedication to meeting high standards.

I strive to create a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence in their abilities.

Whether you’re looking to strengthen foundational reading skills, improve your writing, or gain a better understanding of English coursework, I would love the opportunity to help you work toward your academic goals. My priority is to make learning approachable, engaging, and rewarding for every student I work with!

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is centered around patience, encouragement, and adapting lessons to each student’s individual learning style and academic needs. I believe every student has the ability to succeed when given the right support, guidance, and confidence.

As an English major at the United States Naval Academy, I have developed strong skills in reading comprehension, writing, literary analysis, and effective communication. I also have approximately 1.5 years of paid tutoring experience at Jonathan Hager Elementary School, where I worked one-on-one with multiple kindergarten through second-grade students to strengthen their reading, writing, and language skills.

My lessons begin by identifying each student’s strengths, challenges, and academic goals. From there, I tailor our sessions to focus on areas such as reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, essay writing, and overall literacy development. I believe in breaking down difficult concepts into manageable steps, providing constructive feedback, and creating a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions.

Although my previous tutoring experience has primarily been with elementary students, I am excited to work with learners of various ages and academic levels, including middle school and high school students seeking additional support in English and writing.

My goal is not only to help students improve academically but also to build their confidence, independence, and appreciation for learning.
