About Sienna

I’m currently studying Chemistry at the University of Otago and have a strong interest in science and helping other students build confidence in their learning. Having gone through NCEA myself, I understand how stressful assessments, externals and exams can feel, especially when a topic hasn’t quite clicked yet. I want to tutor NCEA students because I enjoy breaking difficult ideas down into simpler, more manageable steps and helping people reach the point where something finally makes sense. I know that everyone learns differently, so I would aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and working at their own pace. As a tutor, I’d focus not only on helping students understand the content, but also on developing useful study techniques, problem-solving skills and confidence for assessments and exams. I’d love to be able to use my own experience with NCEA and university study to make subjects feel less overwhelming and help students achieve results they’re proud of.

About the lesson

Like to make up a problem and have the student through the process find their errors and explain concepts to them so they understand the problems better.

I would also help them with practice exams with details they are missing or provide ways of thinking they are lacking
