Hi, I’m Amélie, an elementary math tutor who believes every child can succeed in math with the right support and guidance. I focus on building confidence first, because once a student believes they can do math, real progress follows.

My Teaching Approach
I teach math in a clear, step-by-step way that makes it feel simple and manageable. I break down problems into small parts, use visuals and real-life examples, and encourage students to explain their thinking so I can understand how they learn best.
I don’t rush students, and I never let them feel embarrassed about mistakes. Instead, I use mistakes as learning opportunities. My goal is always understanding, not memorizing steps without knowing why.
What my Lessons Look Like
Each session is structured and productive:
- A short review of tricky topics to strengthen students' foundations
- A clear explanation of the concept
- Guided practice together using homework questions and lesson plans
- Independent practice to build confidence with a follow-up review of each question
- A quick recap to reinforce learning before the end of the lesson
I adjust my pace depending on the student’s needs and learning style.
What Sets Me Apart
I’m patient, calm, and genuinely invested in my students’ growth. I don’t just help with homework, I teach students how to think through problems independently. Over time, they become more confident, more capable, and less anxious about math.
