About Félix

Former pupil of the MP* class of Janson de Sailly, former student of the ENS Cachan, "agrégé" of mathematics option computer science, Ph.D in computer science (theoretical computer orientation). Several internships in Machine Learning, Graph Theory, Database Theory, Category Theory, and my Thesis in Logic and Theory of Computability

About the lesson

My method is extremely personalized: I offer you courses prepared beforehand, and take an interest in the student and his psychology, in order to bring him a course that suits him/her, and a pace of work capable of stimulating him/her. Maths (and derivatives such as computer science, logic, etc ...) are an extraordinary tool of knowledge, reflection and curiosity, and it seems important to me to develop this before trying to progress with a student. I have a number of educational resources with which I worked during my years of "prepa", in the MP classes of Janson de Sailly. In general, I try to approach the course with original and innovative problems, often related to the history or philosophy of mathematics, in order to make this subject more lively. For "prepa" students wishing to integrate, I am very fond of the basics and foundations of mathematics (my training) for first-year students, because this first year is used to teach "real maths" to the students for the first time . In second year, the mental aspect seems to me essential, and I wish to work on the restitution of knowledge under pressure. I am looking to bring more than just a corrector of tests: a deeply assimilated knowledge will be more useful on D-Day.

For high school students, motivation is crucial. I think mathematics is very poorly taught in middle and high school, and a struggling student can get out very quickly if he tries to start from scratch to understand what they're doing (a lot of students manage to have 10 throughout the year without understanding anything at all to the subject, which is going to be a problem sooner or later). As such, I reserve the right to work only with student volunteers in this approach of academic support ("there's none so deaf as those who will not hear")

Très pédagogue, engagé et sérieux comme professeur, il se préoccupe vraiment de ses étudiants et se donne à 200%. Excellent vulgarisateur par ailleurs, si vous aimez les sciences, l'univers n'aura plus de secrets pour vous!

Usually the course lasts longer than the initial hour, first because I can't stop talking on such topics, and second because I'm relentless and wouldn't stop if something is still not understood.

Middle/high school : 30 euros
Prepa and university : 50 euros for an hour, 40 for a regular student.
