About Ariana
I'm Ariana, a fourth year child and youth student at Brock University. Throughout my schooling I have taken classes about the cognitive needs of children, and how to support children with learning disabilities and ASD through non-traditional learning practices.
I have worked for the Durham Catholic District School Board in tutoring and supply teaching positions since 2021. During my term I have worked with children of different capabilities and learning styles. Specifically, I have worked with children in kindergarten to grade 4 who are struggling with reading and writing. To combat these struggles, I use a research based structured literacy approach to teaching.

A diagnostic test will be conducted in order to understand the student's strengths and areas of need. From there, a plan will be created that is best suited to your child's abilities and move them forward.
I like to use a hands on approach and have found that children learn better when learning using tactile learning tools. This also makes learning fun and engaging for the student.
Lessons can be delivered in person or online. You decide what best suits you and your child's needs!
