About New

Hello! My name is Angshum, and I am an online English teacher with a deep interest in learning, knowledge, and meaningful education.

I believe education is not simply about memorizing words or rules. Inspired by the ancient Upanishadic approach to learning, I see education as a journey of questioning, understanding, reflection, and self-discovery. A good teacher does not only give answers; a good teacher helps students develop the confidence to think, ask, and express themselves.

In my English classes, I create a calm, friendly, and interactive learning environment. I encourage my students to speak without fear, ask questions freely, and learn from their mistakes. I explain concepts in a simple and practical way, using conversations, real-life situations, stories, and thoughtful discussions.

I especially enjoy helping beginners and students who understand English but hesitate to speak. My aim is to guide each learner patiently and help them develop natural communication skills, confidence, and a genuine interest in learning.

For me, teaching is not about standing above a student. It is about walking beside the student on the journey of knowledge.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching English is inspired by the ancient Upanishadic tradition of learning through questions, reflection, dialogue, and self-discovery. I do not believe that a student should simply memorize grammar rules. I encourage learners to ask, explore, speak, make mistakes, and gradually discover how the English language works.

My teaching method is interactive and student-centered. I use simple conversations, real-life examples, short stories, questioning techniques, vocabulary practice, and guided speaking activities. Like the traditional Guru–Shishya dialogue, I first listen carefully to the learner, understand their difficulties, and then guide them step by step.

A typical class begins with a short conversation to activate the student's mind and build confidence. We then explore a topic, grammar concept, or vocabulary through examples and questions. The student actively speaks and participates instead of only listening to a lecture. At the end of the class, we reflect on what was learned and identify one small area for further improvement.

My special feature as a teacher is that I focus on understanding rather than memorization and confidence rather than fear of mistakes. I try to create a calm learning environment where students can think freely and ask questions without hesitation. My goal is not only to teach English but also to help learners become independent, curious, and confident learners.

My classes are suitable for school children, college students, and adults who want to improve their basic English, vocabulary, grammar, speaking confidence, and everyday communication skills. I especially welcome beginners and learners who understand English but feel hesitant or nervous when speaking.
