About Christine

I have been teaching for more than 25 years and it is not unusual for students to come back and visit me and/or write me thank you letters of appreciation. I am often told by former and present students that I have a positive effect on them. The students' testimonies mean more than scores on state exams. When I run into former students at their post graduation jobs, I am very proud of them. I have taught over 100 student per year for 25+ years. I am serious about teaching and yet make learning fun and relatively painless but not without hard work and perseverance. I am dedicated and I instill dedication and a desire for learning in my students. I emphasize fluency in Reading, clarity in speaking, and use of standard English conventions in academic writing.

Christine is a trustworthy teacher primarily due to her care and concern for each student. She holds herself to the highest moral and ethical standards because she takes her job as a teacher, advocate, and role model for her students and colleagues very seriously. She works hard to insure that her lessons are effective and meaningful for students and that the methodology she uses to improve student learning is validated by research.
