My teaching method is centered around creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. I employ a variety of techniques to cater to different learning styles, including hands-on activities, visual aids, and real-world examples.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Ice Breaker Activities: Scavenger hunts, M&M game, and Bingo games.
Warm-Up Activity: Begin with a brief review of previously covered material to reinforce learning and assess retention.
Introduction to New Concept: Present the new topic using engaging visuals and real-life examples to illustrate its relevance and application.
Guided Practice: Work through example problems together, demonstrating problem-solving techniques and encouraging student participation.
Independent Practice: Provide students with practice problems to solve independently, offering support and guidance as needed.
Review and Assessment: Conclude with a summary of key points and a short assessment to gauge understanding and retention. Provide immediate feedback and address any misconceptions.
My lessons are designed for elementary and middle school students, typically in grades K-9.
