About Mary-Ann

My name is Mary-Ann Vermaak, and I am a passionate, caring and patient educator based in Pretoria East. I currently work at Future Generation Academy, a private school supporting neurodivergent learners from Grades 1–12. Working with children with different learning needs has taught me the importance of patience, understanding and adapting to each child's individual abilities. I love helping learners grow in confidence, overcome challenges and discover their potential. My goal is to create a positive, encouraging environment where every student feels valued, supported and motivated to succeed.

About the lesson

My lessons are personalised, patient and supportive, designed to help every learner reach their full potential. I offer English lessons covering grammar, reading, comprehension and literature exam preparation for Grades 1–12. Through my experience at Future Generation Academy, I have worked with learners with ASD, ADHD, dyslexia and other learning needs. I adapt my teaching methods to suit each student's abilities, pace and individual goals, creating a comfortable environment where learners can build confidence, strengthen their skills and enjoy learning. My goal is to make English easier to understand while helping every student feel supported, encouraged and proud of their progress.
