About Ramon
I studied Mathematics and Computer Science at Imperial College London and the University of Amsterdam. Currently, I'm a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at the University of Edinburgh.
At Imperial College, I was a teaching assistant for two years and now I'm a teaching assistant at the University of Edinburgh. I've taught a variety of subjects related to Maths and Computer Science, mostly to first-year students. I was also a freelance tutor in high school, helping younger students with science courses and programming.
If you're interested in programming, I have several years of programming experience acquired through personal projects, university courses, internships, and work experience. For example, I've worked as a software engineering intern for Ocado, as a research intern for INRIA, and as a data engineer for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

Every student is different and I always try to be as flexible as possible to accommodate the student's needs. In general, I explain concepts as plainly as possible and use many examples. I also like preparing lots of small activities and exercises that make the students think and help them grasp an idea but that aren't too tedious and can be finished quickly.
In my lessons, I start by giivng the student the opportunity to ask questions. Then we proceed by doing exercises on the topic that we agreed to cover. Finally, we discuss the topic for the next session.
