About Shaun
Hello, I’m Shaun, a primary school headteacher and experienced teacher with a passion for helping children and young people succeed in mathematics. Throughout my career, I have taught and led across a range of age groups and have always been committed to making learning engaging, accessible and enjoyable.
Mathematics has always been a particular passion of mine. I continue to lead maths in my school and work closely with National Maths Hubs to develop high-quality teaching and learning. This enables me to stay up to date with the latest approaches and best practices in maths education.
I believe that every learner can succeed with the right support, encouragement and challenge. My tutoring focuses on building confidence, deepening understanding and helping students become independent learners. I take the time to get to know each student and, wherever possible, incorporate their interests into lessons to make learning relevant and engaging.
Outside of education, I enjoy sport and understand the value of teamwork, resilience and determination—qualities that I encourage in all of my students.
