About Nathan

I have a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts, focusing on English as a Second Language (ESL) and French as a Foreign Language (FLE). I graduated in 2022 with a GPA of 3.98. Before that, I got a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Animation from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design in 2018. I also completed a Diploma in English as a Second Language Teaching from the University of Cambridge in 2018.

I currently work as a full-time professor. In this job, I create course outlines and teach classes in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and English for Academic Purposes (EAP). I use different teaching methods that fit my students' levels and the course material, like hands-on learning, teamwork, and research-based learning. I teach classes such as Journalism, American Culture through Film, and Foreign Language Teaching.

I also work with other teachers to create teaching resources and improve our teaching. I have done research in self-reflective journaling to develop cultural understanding and improve self-growth. Furthermore, I continue to pursue researching new ways to learn and teach.

About the lesson

I love tailoring my lessons to fit each student’s unique needs! While I like to have a basic outline of what we can focus on, I always keep your goals in mind and enjoy mixing things up for fun and creative lessons.

I’m excited to work with students from all sorts of fields, like business English, education, art and art history, film, and linguistics! I really enjoy helping out in different areas.
