As a certified instructor with a strong background in adult education, mentorship, and communication, I specialize in teaching English to beginner and intermediate learners of all ages. My goal is to create a supportive, engaging, and confidence-building environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and celebrating progress.

My Teaching Methodology & Techniques:
My lessons are learner-centered and structured around practical communication skills, focusing on listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I adapt lessons to each student’s pace and goals using a blend of:
• Conversational practice to develop fluency and confidence
• Visual aids and real-life examples to explain grammar and vocabulary
• Repetition and scaffolding to reinforce learning and track progress
• Interactive activities such as role play, pronunciation drills, and reading aloud
• Formative assessments to identify areas of growth and adjust future lessons accordingly
I emphasize clarity, empathy, and motivation in every session, making sure learners feel supported and encouraged throughout their journey.

The Lesson Format & Duration:
A typical lesson lasts 50 to 60 minutes, with a flexible structure that includes:
• A warm-up or review of previous material
• Introduction of a new concept or theme
• Guided practice and discussion
• Student-led speaking or writing activity
• A short recap and next steps
Homework or optional follow-up tasks may also be offered to reinforce learning outside of class.

• Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management (Centennial College, 2023)
• Master of Business Administration (University of Technology, Jamaica, 2016)
• Experience mentoring learners in one-on-one and group settings
• Proficient in virtual teaching tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Google Classroom
• Skilled in breaking down complex topics into relatable, easy-to-understand content
• Background in public speaking, learner support, and cross-cultural communication
