About Luke

Hi!

My name is Luke and I am a local primary teacher. My favourite subjects are maths, history and PE. I love helping children find their way through something tricky and build their confidence in the subject and themselves whilst doing it. Outside of teaching I enjoy playing sports and music with lots of different people.

About the lesson

As a qualified primary school teacher, I believe every child learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit their individual needs, abilities and interests.

My approach is friendly, patient and encouraging, with a focus on building confidence alongside academic understanding. I use a mixture of practical activities, engaging resources, targeted practice and positive reinforcement to make learning enjoyable and effective.

Lessons typically last 50-60 minutes, although this will be adapted depending on your child's age and needs.

I offer tutoring for primary-aged children (Years 1–6), covering Maths, English and general academic support, alongside 11+ preparation, including reasoning skills and exam techniques.

Whether your child needs extra support, a confidence boost or an additional challenge, my aim is to help them feel comfortable, make progress and enjoy learning! ️
