About Tom

I am an ex-soldier and I am currently a Year 2 primary school teacher but I have experience tutoring GCSE students, A-level students and postgraduate doctors with English as an additional language! I develop an excellent rapport with children and it is one of my natural abilities. Being a primary school class teacher I have to have a broad knowledge of many topics and I can help with understanding in most fields. I specialise in English skills, poetry and writing, but I also love to teach all the other core subjects and I have a great understanding of many mathematical concepts! I can speak Greek at level B2 as well as conversational German and Hungarian. I love all things language and etymology and use these interests in my lessons to develop understanding! I absolutely love travelling and experiencing other cultures, their food and their language. I am into boxing and have had a few amateur fights but I now use the training to keep fit.

About the lesson

I have a fun and unique approach to learning. I have a very good general knowledge and I can explain concepts in a clear and concise manner. I will plan and tailor each lesson to suit your needs so you feel as though you have learnt something new each time! I am adaptable and will make lessons that suit your needs and goals. I am comfortable teaching a lesson wherever, whether it is at my house, your house or online. I am reliable and punctual and we will reach our goals together!

I highly recommend his lessons for foreign people, also for kids to help them get through school exams or simply gain more interest in English language/literacy/grammar.
