About Cher

Is your child struggling to focus or read with confidence? You’re not alone — and I can help. My name is Cherdeeca, a certified teacher with over a decade of experience working with elementary students, including those with ADHD and reading comprehension difficulties. With two Master’s degrees in education and years of hands-on experience in the classroom and tutoring, I’ve helped countless children transition from frustration to success. My Teaching Approach I believe every child can thrive when lessons are tailored to their needs. My BRIGHT Roots Method provides a clear path: Reset the Mind, Repair the Gaps, Rebuild the Flow, and Root the Confidence. I utilize interactive, multisensory strategies — including movement, visuals, and games — to keep students engaged and motivated. What to Expect in a Lesson A quick warm-up to get focused. Targeted skill work on decoding, fluency, or comprehension. Guided reading with feedback and strategy practice. A confidence-boosting activity and short progress update for parents. Who My Lessons Are For I work with elementary students, particularly 3rd–4th graders who require additional support with ADHD, reading comprehension, or building confidence. Whether your child needs to catch up, stay on track, or get ahead, I provide the tools, strategies, and encouragement to help them succeed.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is simple: make reading less stressful and more enjoyable while building confidence step by step. I specialize in helping elementary students, especially 3rd–and 4th–grade students with ADHD or comprehension struggles, make real progress in just 2 hours a week.

How I Teach

I use multi-sensory strategies — games, movement, and visuals — to keep lessons engaging. My BRIGHT Roots Method guides each child through four steps: Reset the Mind, Repair the Gaps, Rebuild the Flow, and Root the Confidence.

Lesson Flow

A typical session includes a quick warm-up, focused skill practice (like sight words or comprehension), guided reading with feedback, and a confidence-building wrap-up. Parents also get a short progress update after each lesson.

I’m a certified teacher with years of experience in both classroom and special education settings. More than teaching skills, I focus on helping kids believe in themselves — so reading feels natural and rewarding.
