About Sofiia
Hi! I’m Sofiia, and I’m a friendly and enthusiastic student who really enjoys Biology and Chemistry. I achieved grades 8 and 7 in GCSE Combined Science, and I’m now continuing my studies in Biology and Chemistry at sixth form.
I’ve always found science much more enjoyable once you truly understand why things happen, and that’s what I want to help other students discover too. I know that some topics can seem confusing or overwhelming at first, so I aim to explain them in a simple, clear and patient way rather than just asking you to memorise everything.
I’m approachable and happy to go over something as many times as needed. Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic, preparing for an exam, or simply want to feel more confident in science, I’ll create a comfortable and encouraging environment where you can learn at your own pace.
My goal isn't just to help you get better grades — I want you to leave each lesson thinking, “Oh, I actually understand this now!”

In our first lesson, I’ll get to know where you’re at with the subject and which topics you feel most confident with. We’ll use a simple traffic-light system to organise everything:
🟢 Green — topics you feel confident with
🟠 Amber — topics you understand but could use more practice with
Red — topics you find difficult or would like to revisit
This gives us a clear picture of where to focus and allows us to build a personalised plan together.
As we progress, we’ll use effective study techniques such as active recall, alongside practice questions and past-paper questions. We’ll work on both your understanding of the content and your exam technique, so you can become more confident with applying your knowledge under exam conditions.
I’ll also provide manageable homework when helpful, based on the topics we’ve covered, so you can continue practising between lessons.
Most importantly, I want lessons to feel friendly, relaxed and supportive. There’s no pressure to already know everything — we’ll work through the difficult parts together and build your confidence step by step.
