About Sophie
I'm a NZ born and registered teacher, who really enjoys working with students one-on-one to help them achieve their goals and excel. In the classroom, where there's only one teacher and about 30 students, it's hard to give or get that individual support. You may have questions that you don't want to ask in front of everyone. Private tuition means that you can get ahead without putting yourself out there in front of your peers. You can be honest about where you're at - no question is a dumb question, I just want to help you succeed :)

I'll take your lead - what do you want to be able to do? I can take you through mock exams, I can give feedback on essays or reports written, showing you how to get that higher grade in the marking rubric. If there's particular concepts you just don't get, we'll focus on those, keeping on trying strategies, until you DO get them.
I can set online revision tasks for you to complete, mark and give feedback. I'm responsive to your needs.
An hour is a good length for a session, but sometimes you might need more or less.
