About Caramea

Hello! I am a Grade 12 IB Diploma student and a Principal's Honor Roll student with a love for reading, writing, and helping others feel more confident in their academic work. I especially enjoy helping students organize their ideas and find ways to make writing and reading feel more manageable.

As an IB student, I've developed a lot of experience with academic writing, textual analysis, research, and managing larger assignments and deadlines. I understand that sometimes the hardest part of an English assignment isn't having ideas, but figuring out how to organize those ideas and communicate them clearly.

I've also gained experience through volunteer tutoring and enjoy helping students develop not only their academic skills, but also their confidence and independence. My approach is patient and collaborative, and I adapt lessons to the student's individual needs and learning style.

I don't believe there is one "right" way to approach writing or learning. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their ideas, and working through things at their own pace. My goal is to help students become more confident in expressing themselves while developing skills they can use independently.

About the lesson

I offer online English academic support for elementary and high school students, with a focus on writing, reading comprehension, textual analysis, grammar, and study skills.

Lessons can be adapted to whatever the student is currently working on. I can help with brainstorming and organizing ideas, planning essays and paragraphs, understanding texts, improving clarity in writing, or preparing for assignments and tests.

As a current IB student, I can also share strategies and advice for approaching IB English assignments and assessments, including organizing written responses, analyzing texts, and managing larger assignments.

My goal is not to simply correct a student's work for them, but to help them understand how they can improve and develop skills they can use on their own.

Lessons are held online through Google Meet or Zoom.
