About Ahmad

As an SAT tutor, I’m passionate about more than just helping students raise their scores—I aim to spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage a mindset of lifelong learning. I believe that when students understand why certain skills matter—like critical reading, logical reasoning, or efficient problem-solving—they become more motivated and engaged in the process. I encourage active thinking and self-reflection so students don’t just memorize tricks—they learn how to solve problems with confidence. Most importantly, I try to make SAT prep feel empowering—not just a hurdle to overcome, but a chance to build habits and skills that will benefit students well beyond test day.

About the lesson

As an SAT tutor, my goal is to create a supportive and motivating environment that helps students not just improve their scores, but develop confidence, critical thinking, and a love of learning. I tailor my teaching approach to match each student’s learning style—whether they learn best through visuals, discussion, or hands-on practice.

Teaching Method and Techniques:
I start by understanding the student’s current level, section-wise strengths and weaknesses, and target score. My lessons are concept-focused and strategy-driven. I break down question types, explain time-saving methods, and teach how to approach the SAT like a puzzle—one you can solve with the right mindset and tools. We also work on pacing, educated guessing, and managing test-day stress. I emphasize techniques that students can continue using in college entrance exams and academic life beyond.

Typical Lesson Plan:
Review of past performance (including mistakes from practice tests or homework).

Targeted warm-up activity to reinforce a specific strategy or concept.

Topic breakdown – e.g., grammar rules, reading passage strategies, math shortcuts.

Guided practice with real or custom SAT-style questions.

Timed drills to build test-taking stamina and accuracy.

Wrap-up discussion and personalized strategy tips, with optional homework to reinforce skills.
