About Sugeevan

I'm a highly experienced online math tutor with a proven track record of success. Having accumulated over 1000 hours of tutoring across various platforms and earned over 50 five-star reviews, I've helped students of all levels, up to GCSE Maths and Science, achieve their academic goals. My recent specialization in GCSE Maths has allowed me to hone my skills in preparing students for this crucial exam. I've even helped students jump two grades in just a few months!

My approach to tutoring is personalized and student-centered. I understand that every learner is unique, so I tailor my lessons to suit each individual's specific needs, abilities, and learning style. My passion lies in helping students build confidence in GCSE Maths, and I achieve this by focusing on developing not only their problem-solving and exam techniques, but also their understanding of the underlying mathematical concepts. Students appreciate my patience, perseverance, and empathetic approach.

Currently, I am a Russel Group University Graduate and Tech Professional specialising in teaching GCSE Maths. During GCSE, I always enjoyed the exam period at school; I was confident in my ability and saw exams as a chance to prove myself; I hope to help make my students feel this way about their exams, rather than dreading them.

About the lesson

To start with I assess my students to identify gaps in their knowledge. During lessons, I will take students through each topic and get them to complete example questions based on what they have learned. This enables me to iron out their misunderstandings and build their knowledge from the foundation up.

Students are also given questions to practice at home. This way students get to repeat what they have learned until it becomes second nature. All homework will be marked prior to lessons, and we will go through corrections in the following lessons. Moreover, we will practice past papers to prepare students for upcoming exams. With KS3 students I aim to build their knowledge so that they have good grounding and confidence for when they start GCSEs.

Apart from planning and delivering lessons, marking homework, and past papers, I am also available to answer questions outside of tutoring. I encourage students to message me in between lessons and be proactive, I am looking forward to teaching more students and inspiring them to attain more.
