About Mai
Hi! I’m Mai, a second-year pharmacy student at UWA. I’m passionate about learning and sharing knowledge, which is why I love tutoring. I want to help students not only understand the subjects they’re learning but also develop confidence in their abilities. I’ve tutored high school students in math, science, English, and art, and I know how powerful it is to have someone who’s patient, approachable, and willing to explain things in ways that make sense. I want to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and truly engaging with the material. For me, teaching isn’t just about helping students pass exams, it’s about helping them become better learners and feel proud of their progress.

Typical Length of a Lesson: Each lesson is typically 1 hour long, which I find to be the perfect amount of time to cover topics thoroughly without overwhelming the student. However, I am flexible with the length and can adjust based on the student's needs and focus. Qualifications and Experience: I am currently studying pharmacy in my second year at the University of Western Australia. In addition to my academic qualifications, I have experience tutoring high school students in subjects like math, science, English, and art. My background in both the sciences and humanities allows me to provide a well-rounded tutoring experience. I have a deep understanding of complex concepts and a strong ability to break them down into easy-to-understand explanations. Who Are My Lessons For: My lessons are primarily aimed at high school students (Years 7-12), though I am open to tutoring university-level students in subjects related to science and pharmacy. I work with students of varying levels and can adapt my teaching methods to suit beginners through to more advanced learners. Whether a student is preparing for exams or seeking to improve their general understanding of a subject, I am committed to helping them achieve their goals.
