About Rebecca
Hi! I’m Rebecca, & I’m currently studying Physiotherapy at university.
I want to become a tutor because I enjoy supporting others & helping them build both their knowledge and confidence. I aim to create a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and working at their own pace. I hope to make learning enjoyable while helping my students achieve their academic goals and feel more confident in their abilities.
After struggling with A-Level Chemistry myself, I recognise how important different teaching styles are & finding the method that works for you! Sometimes, a different explanation or approach can make a difficult topic much easier to understand.

- Adaptable teaching: I adapt the lessons differently for each student, as everybody learns differently! GCSE & A-Level tutoring available.
- Questioning: I frequently ask questions (open-ended & targeted) throughout the lesson to ensure understanding is optimal. If questions cannot be answered, don’t worry I will explain a concept differently!
- Active learning: I encourage participation in the lessons via questions, discussions & tasks (e.g., exam-style questions).
- Topic breakdowns: I break large, complex topics into smaller ones to gradually build knowledge & confidence.
Regular feedback: I provide constructive feedback to help students recognise areas for improvement and their own strengths. This keeps motivation levels high.
Recap & retrieval: I begin sessions with a short section on previous content. This ensures information has been conveyed & acts as a revision technique.
Practice & Application: I provide exam-style questions to help prepare for exams! Application is needed as well as memorising content.
- Adaptable schedule: lessons are 60 minutes long at a time of your choosing, weekend or weekdays.
- Deep knowledge: Studied Biology & Chemistry at A-Level, currently studying BSc Physiotherapy. Tutored a Year 13 Chemistry student during my first year of university.
