About Shawnda
Hello, I wanted to tell you a little about myself to help you feel comfortable when I am teaching you so you are only focused on learning. So I am almost 40, I have 2 boys that are grown, I have a nephew and 3 nieces that I love to pieces. When I was younger all I dreamed about was singing but then I had my kids and realized I loved teaching, so I started tutoring. I still sing all the time so you might hear me hum sometimes lol. Well that's enough about me, can't wait to learn about you. Oh yes, I almost forgot I have a little dog named Cash, he is mischievous so you will hear a lot about him.

Hello __________, my name is Ms. Allen. I would first like to say how excited I am that you chose me to be your tutor this year, we are going to have fun, as well as learn. In spelling/reading comprehension, each week we will have a list of words and a test at the end of the week, reading we will most of the time have a lesson per week depending on how long the story is. Now if you have certain things that you are needing me to help you with, that is awesome, just when you contact me initially let me know, and I will have a star by your name so I know to have a special lesson prepared for you. I am so excited to meet you and get this great new year started.
