About Ali

I am a Civil & Structural Engineer with a **Master of Engineering from the American University of Beirut** and a **Bachelor’s degree from Beirut Arab University**. My academic journey has been deeply rooted in advanced structural analysis, mechanics of materials, and research into materials failure and dam engineering. As a **Graduate Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE)**, I bring internationally recognised professional credibility to my work.

Professionally, I have held roles as a **Tendering Specialist at Khatib & Alami**, a **Planning Engineer at Consolidated Contractors Company (Qatar)**, and the **Founder & Creative Director of LOOMA**, where I combined technical expertise with entrepreneurial vision. These experiences have given me a unique perspective that bridges rigorous academic theory with practical, real-world engineering applications.

Beyond industry practice, I am passionate about **teaching and mentoring**. Over the years, I have tutored students at different levels—from undergraduates strengthening their fundamentals to graduate students and early-career engineers tackling advanced computational methods. My lessons are **structured, interactive, and tailored** to each learner’s needs, blending technical rigour with clarity and practical problem-solving.

Fluent in **English and Arabic**, with beginner-level French, I work with international students preparing for exams, coursework, or professional development. My goal is to empower learners with both **knowledge and confidence**, ensuring they excel academically while gaining skills that are directly relevant to their careers

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to make complex engineering concepts clear, practical, and engaging. I teach a wide range of topics including **mechanics of materials, structural analysis, finite element modelling, materials failure, dam engineering, and structural dynamics**. Each session is carefully structured to balance theory with real-world applications, ensuring students not only understand the subject but also know how to apply it in practice.

I have several years of experience tutoring **undergraduate and graduate students**, as well as mentoring **early-career engineers**. My teaching has taken place in **one-on-one settings, small group sessions, and classroom support**, as well as guiding students through **research projects and exam preparation**.

My approach is **interactive and personalised**:
- I assess each student’s level and goals, then tailor lessons accordingly.
- I use **step-by-step explanations, problem-solving exercises, and case studies** to reinforce learning.
- I emphasise **exam strategies, coursework support, and practical applications** to build both confidence and technical mastery.

Over time, I have helped students strengthen their fundamentals, tackle advanced computational methods, and connect academic knowledge with industry practice. Lessons are available in **English and Arabic**, making them accessible to international learners.

Would you like me to also craft a **shorter, promotional version** (around 3–4 sentences) that’s optimised for tutoring platforms, where students often skim ads quickly?
