As a tutor, I utilize a student-centered approach that focuses on building a strong foundational understanding and fostering critical thinking. My teaching methods are highly interactive, often incorporating real-life examples and analogies to make complex concepts more accessible. I aim to cultivate curiosity and encourage questions, ensuring a supportive and engaging learning environment.
A typical lesson plan starts with assessing the student's current understanding, followed by a tailored session that targets specific areas for improvement. I integrate a mix of discussion, problem-solving exercises, and review of past exams to reinforce learning.
What sets me apart is my extensive experience as a TA for three upper-level biology classes at an Ivy League university combined with my strong academic background, including a 99th percentile SAT score and 3.97 GPA at Cornell. This allows me to offer insights and strategies that are proven to work.
My lessons are designed for high school and undergraduate students, particularly those navigating biology courses or preparing for exams. Whether you're just starting out in biology or looking to excel in advanced classes, I’m here to help you succeed!

James was my tutor for upper-level biochemistry at Cornell. Not only did I succeed in the class because of his innovative teaching methods and meticulously crafted study plans, but I also enjoyed learning in his classroom. 10/10 tutor and mentor, would highly recommend him to anyone!
