About Olivia
My name is Olivia Jung; I am a 19-year-old Korean-American who lives in Stafford, VA. I graduated from Colonial Forge Highschool in 2022 and am currently a student at Cornell University. I study Human Biology, Health, and Society in the School of Human Ecology, and considering a minor in math because of my passion for the subject.

My approach to tutoring is teaching in an organized and precise manner and being patient if a student is frustrated. Leading them in a safe and non-judgmental environment is one of my most important methods of teaching. I use worksheets and textbooks first to teach the material and lead with examples, then allow students to work out a few questions and go over and talk them through. I am happy to say I have improved students up letter grades and improved their test scores significantly.
From 2019 to now, I have been a self-organized paid tutor, teaching English and math to students ranging from elementary to high school students. I have had a total of 7 students, and they have either been one on one or two-on-one. From 2016 to 2022, I was also a Stafford Junction Brain Builder tutor volunteer. This was a classroom setting and I taught elementary school students subjects from math to English to science
