About Sam

I am a student-athlete at the University of Michigan currently in my senior year, balancing a 4.0 GPA with a full-time practice schedule as a rugby player. I am a dedicated and patient tutor committed to helping students achieve their academic goals. With a strong background in standardized test preparation and a personalized approach to teaching, I focus on building both skills and confidence. I tailor each lesson to the student's needs, ensuring they understand concepts rather than simply memorize strategies. My goal is to create a supportive, professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making progress, and reaching their full potential on the SAT.

About the lesson

Having attended the #1 high school in New York, I teach using the professionally acclaimed instruction methods that myself and my peers used to be successful college applicants. Students can expect a strong conceptual foundation of mathematical and grammatical concepts supplemented by a variety of practical exercises. Having experience with many students of different ages and levels, I am able to identify strengths and weaknesses of a student's understanding, and tailor my instruction to help students set and achieve personal goals.
