About Ben

Hi, I’m Ben. I’m studying Computing Science at UTS (finishing in December 2026) and have worked as an AI & Automation Engineer at Adiona and as a Graduate Software Engineer at FUJIFILM DMS. I help students build confidence in: - Maths (Years 7–12): foundations, algebra, functions, geometry, calculus/problem solving and assessment preparation. - Physics (Years 7–12): concepts and problem solving across mechanics, motion, forces, waves and electricity, including related Year 11–12 topics and exam-style working. - Python and programming: syntax, control flow, functions, data structures, debugging, clean code and small projects. - Practical AI/software: LLM applications in Python, agents and tool use, RAG, APIs, evaluation and turning an idea into a small demoable MVP. I can also discuss Azure AI Foundry, GCP and AWS Bedrock at a practical level. A typical 55–60 minute session starts with your goal, works through a worked example or live code, and finishes with a clear next step. Bring a homework question, textbook topic, assessment rubric or GitHub repo and we’ll use it as a learning tool. Online sessions via Zoom or Google Meet are my default. In-person tutoring around Mosman and Sydney’s Lower North Shore is only considered if a student specifically asks and we agree it’s suitable. I teach rather than take over. I do not write essays, complete assignments or submit work for students. For coding and AI projects, I explain concepts, debug alongside you, review your approach and help you plan the next step so you can build it yourself. Rates: Years 7–10 maths, physics or Python $60 online; Years 11–12 maths or physics $70 online; practical AI mentoring $80 online.

About the lesson

I’m Ben, a Computing Science student at UTS and former AI & Automation Engineer. I teach Year 7–12 maths and beginner-to-intermediate Python, and mentor students and career switchers building practical AI applications such as agents, RAG systems and LLM apps. My sessions are patient, structured and hands-on: we work through the problem together so you can do it independently next time.
