About Archie

Hi, I’m Archie, owner of ADiVS Tutoring with years of tutoring experience. I started ADiVS Tutoring because I know how frustrating it can be to struggle in class without the right help.

I’m not your tutor, I’m the person who finds you your tutor. I personally match each student with a tutor who fits their subject needs, learning style, and schedule. Whether you need help with math, CS, science, writing, or anything else, I’ve built a network of tutors who are smart, passionate, and easy to work with.

Working with me means no generic pairings or one-size-fits-all sessions. It’s flexible, remote, and all about what you need to thrive. I make sure your tutor’s job is to teach — and mine is to make sure you get the right one.

Let’s get you the support you deserve.

About the lesson

The problem we solve: the student isn't failing this year's math because of this year's math. They're failing because something two years back never got fixed — negative signs, fractions, solving for a variable — and every new topic sits on top of it. Patching one test doesn't touch that. We find the gap and close it while keeping the student current in class.

How a typical hour runs:

A few minutes on what's due, what's confusing, and what grade we're trying to move
About thirty minutes on the student's actual assignment or a close parallel problem, with the tutor prompting rather than working it for them
A short problem the student does independently, so we both find out whether it stuck
One specific thing to practice before the next session

We don't do homework for students. We teach them to show their work, check their own answers, and recognize which method a problem is asking for — the part that's actually being tested.

Their tutoring support helped my boys with math tutoring for 6th grade, 8th and 9th grade. Tutors are great at connecting with my boys and keeping them engaged during the sessions. They assisted with CBE math exam test prep and staying ahead. They’ve assisted when I needed the flexibility with scheduling as well. I didn’t think my boys would like online lessons, but they have been doing great with them and helps a working parent out so much!

She genuinely cared about how I was doing. You could tell she wasn’t just there to tutor — she wanted me to succeed.

Archie made everything click. I was completely lost in CS before, but she broke it down in a way I could actually understand.
