About James

I'm currently studying Engineering and Commerce at UQ. In high school, I studied General English, Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, Modern History, English, and Chinese at Brisbane Grammar School. I received a General Merit (for being in the top 10% of my grade), a scholarship for my commitment to academic services at the school, and was the runner-up to dux in Modern History and Chinese.

About the lesson

A typical lesson is an hour per subject, beginning with a quick 8 minute test on the skills covered in the previous session (tailored to focus on the aspects they struggled most on) to gauge their progress. Depending on the result, that topic may be reviewed. Once complete, I'll coach the tutee on the next topic before they begin completing worksheets. At the end of the session, these will be marked, and I'll give the tutee some worksheets to complete before the next session, with the content depending on how well they went. Every month, there will be a revision test covering all of the topics studied in that timeframe.
