Gavin tutored me with my first year math courses. He managed to pinpoint that I was struggling with abstract concepts so he used concrete examples to solidify my understanding. He also went through the course notes with me 3 to 4 times a week. He made sure I did not have any gaps in my learning by quizzing me at the end of each tutoring session. He was quite accommodating to my schedule and my disabilities. As he was also a math undergrad student before, he was able to point out helpful resources that I did know existed at my university.
