About Hailey

I am a college student who has tutored in math for the past four years. I started as a freelance tutor for a year, then moved into tutoring at a center for two years. I now work both with a company and do freelance tutoring on the side.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is to help guide a student through a problem by breaking the problem into small parts. In this way, it becomes more manageable and the student feels more capable in their skill. Additionally, I usually ask leading questions, such as “what do you think we should do next?”, to help guide the student and allow me to see their thinking on a problem and correct anything that they have a problem on.

Perfect! We are still working with this tutor, but I wanted to leave a review because she is amazing! We highly recommend her! She makes it fun for my high school junior who has never enjoyed math, so that is a huge win! She is definitely a natural in all things math, and is working magic with our son! I finally feel he can be successful in algebra 2 this year because she is bringing out his inner math strengths!

Perfect! One of the best tutors I have ever worked with. I suffer severely from dyslexia, but she made sure I felt like I had a safe and fun learning environment the entire time. It didn't matter how much or little I knew about the subject. Best experience possible!

Hailey has been able to solve all of my problems! While being able to explain the solutions very thoroughly. Making sure I get not only why I got it wrong in the first place, but to make sure I’ll understand how to figure it out in the future!
