About Julian

Hello! My name is Julian, and I am 24 years old. I currently serve as an active-duty cyber warfare/cyber security officer in the Army. Throughout high school and college, I developed a strong passion for helping my friends and classmates succeed academically. I know firsthand what it’s like to struggle with understanding a concept, and my goal is to guide you toward that lightbulb moment—when everything clicks and the topic finally makes sense. As a "younger" tutor, I aim to make learning more engaging, approachable, and less intimidating. After all, learning should be exciting!

About the lesson

I approach tutoring with structure, adaptability, and a results-oriented mindset. My method focuses on breaking down complex concepts into digestible pieces, fostering critical thinking, and ensuring practical application. Not only do I help students complete their assignments, but I make sure that they fully understand the concepts through repetition and practice. Drawing from my diverse interactions at West Point, I tailor each lesson to fit the student’s learning style, ensuring that they feel challenged, but comfortable enough to learn. I begin with a review of prior concepts before introducing new material through engaging explanations and hands-on exercises. Throughout the entire lesson, I provide personalized feedback and actionable next steps, ensuring students leave each session with confidence and clear progress markers. What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor My ability to connect with students from all backgrounds is a direct result of my experiences at West Point and my continued studies at Georgia Tech. I understand how to communicate effectively, bridging both linguistic and cultural gaps. I also speak Mandarin and Spanish. This allows me to provide high-level tutoring to Mandarin/Spanish-speaking students learning English, ensuring lessons are tailored to their pace and needs.
