About Jacob
After 5 years of tutoring experience, I am equipped with skills to help engage my students, keep them excited about math, and adapt to different learning styles. I have taken Calculus and Discrete Math college level courses so I am very knowledgeable about many different math areas.

Each lesson will start with a check-in question that is not learning related to break the ice. Next we will move to some practice problems. For each practice problem we will read the question together and think about the strategies we should use to solve the problem. Afterwards I give my students 5 minutes to try the problem themselves. Then, I will show my approach for tackling the problem and answer any questions they might have about the specific problem. Next we will move to any school work or general math concepts the student wants to learn more about!
These lessons are best suited for Kindergarten - 10th grade math levels.
