About Lu

I am an early-career physicist graduated with first-class Honours at ANU. I am currently working for a highly-reputable science research institute. I studied physics, maths, computer science and Earth sciences at university. I have 3+ years of experience tutoring students across all levels in STEM subjects. Also, I have 1.5 years of experience in teaching/supervising primary school children in after-school care.

I am patient, caring and supportive. I strive to cater for the needs of different students and different learning styles. Seeing student's confidence and knowledge growing is one of my biggest happiness. I speak two languages: English and Cantonese. All lessons will be in English.

About the lesson

I believe that interest and passion are the best teachers. Sessions are tailor-made to suit individual needs. I see private tutoring as a pefect opportunity to consolidate what you have learnt in class and further extend and integrate it into your interested areas, e.g. what you want to study in university and pursue as a career.

I have succesfully helped a student struggling with year 11 and year 12 physics to push through the grade from D to B. I have also helped a talented year 9 maths student to get from standard maths class to excel in extended maths class. Furthermore, I started tutoring his brother in year 7 maths and helped him from scoring below average to top 5 in his class within the first few months of tutoring.
